Yesterday I was talking to Deepak Gulati from MS India. He is a music freak and he listens to all kinds of music from tamil/hindi film songs to spanish and oriental music. He was really excited about the new Media Player, 9.0.

This version has full support for Unicode. This means, you can enter Album details about songs in the language that the album is based on. So when you play the Lagaan CD, you get your album details in Hindi. The possiblities are limitless. This is one of those things that excites Deepak as most of the other MP3/media players in the market has no way of doing something like this as they do not have unicode support or they use a backend lookup data store that is based on ANSI text.

Check 9.0 it out. Deepak has entered indic album details for most the new tamil and hindi films.
