Now that Framework 1.1 is available for download(Approx 106 MB for the SDK and 23MB for the Redistributable), most of you must be wondering on the what has changed. MSDN has a nice set of articles on the new version.

Versioning, Compatibility, and Side-by-Side Execution in the .NET Framework

You can have both 1.0 and 1.1 installed on the same machine and both will work fine. Infact, VS.NET 2002 and VS.NET 2003 can be installed in the same machine and will work without any problems (Kinda cool)
